Housebird Ornament - Inspired By Designs of Eames
The Housebird Ornament was a celebrity in the Eames’ home, gracing many home photos and becoming a sought after ornament. Our Eames inspired bird has the same appeal and will blend right into your surroundings.
The Housebird ornament was actually purchased by Charles & Ray Eames on one of their trips to Illinois, and was actually created as a decoy, by Edna and Charles Perdew. But, the souvenir became attributed to Eames after the little bird was spotted in several of the Eames’ home photos. The bird can keep an eye on your home or office and bring its American folk art sensibility into your life. The Eames inspired “Housebird” is made from painted solid ash and stands on black painted steel legs.
