Coconut Style Full Leather Arm Chair - Inspired By Designs of George Nelson
In 1955 a George Nelson chair would be introduced, which Nelson felt would give “great freedom of movement,” it also brought modernism to the world.
The Eero Saarinen’s Kresge Auditorium at MIT was the inspiration for the Nelson designers and Nelson was our inspiration for the Coconut Style Arm Chair. Over three feet of cushion will surround your lounging needs. The Coconut style chair is comprised of a gloss fiberglass outer shell and a full grain Italian leather seat pad. The chair sits on thin, sturdy, polished chrome steel legs, which do not detract from the visually stimulating seat which is also a work of art. Our Nelson inspired chair is not only artistically appealing, but is also a curvaceous, “movement freer.”
